THIS MONTH'S SERMON
by Rev. Chisen Maeda

Nice to see you again!  I am back from Japan.
Let me introduce my friends  They were here for the special Kito service.
They are Rev. Annaka from Chiba.  Last year, Rissho University students and
Prof. Annaka came.  Do you remember?  He is his younger brother.  Rev.
Kawashima is from Tokyo.  He is my classmate of Rissho University and we had
lived in the same dormitory for 4 years.
I finished 100 days training, but I think that you can not notice any
changes.  You can only notice that my voice has changed.  On February 10th,
we finished the training.  At that time, I was thinner than now, but I ate
alot and drank a lot since then.  My condition is not so good, but I will be
better soon.
I can not say anything about the training, so I cannot explain, but I can
tell you a few.  Last year was so cold and we had to take a cold shower 7
times a day, at 3am, 6am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm and last one at 11pm which
take all lasts about an hour.  We ate a small meal at 5 am. and 5 pm  Meal
time was only 3 minutes.  We woke up at 2:30 am after going to bed at 12 am.
During sleeping time, we take care of our hands and feet because they were
badly chapped.  That is why, we could not sleep enough.  Our legs were so
sore and we were very hungry.  I thought that 100 days were very long.
During the Aragyo,  some vomited blood and quit their training.  When we
began the Aragyo, there were 153, but only 148 people completed their
training.
I came back here as Kito minister, so I am very happy.
I can not say any more, just "I am home!"
