The Okyuden (Shrine in the center of this picture) contains a stupa in the center with the O-Daimoku, "NAMU MYOHO RENGE KYO" written down the center. On the left of the stupa (your right) is Taho {Many Treasures Buddha}. On the right of the stupa (your left) is Shakamuni Buddha. In front, just below is Nichiren Shonin. On the lower shelf in front of the Okyuden, in the center is a box containing a copy of the Lotus Sutra. To the left and right of the box are images of two protective deities from the Lotus Sutra. These two images belong to the current resident minister Rev. Ryuken Akahoshi.
To the right of the Okyuden is a image of (Kishimojin) one of the many protective deities from the Lotus Sutra. A O-Mandala, one of the many treasures of the Nichiren Buddhist Temple of Portland, is enshrined behind Kishimojin.
To the left of the Okyuden is a portrait of Nichiren Shonin. In front of the portrait are Ihai (memorial tablet) for the ancestors of the temple and also the ancestors of all the beings of the universe.
